Meet the Author
Marcy Bialeschki
A small town girl from Blue Mound, Illinois, Marcy grew up with a dream— to be a published author. After having several articles published online, Marcy began to think bigger. That’s when she started writing her four-book romance-suspense series titled, The Vengeance Series. What began as a possibility quickly developed into reality as Marcy finished her first book, Deception & Consequences, in just three months. At one time Marcy saw her efforts as a stand-alone novel. However, at the last minute, she took a chance and changed the ending, allowing her endearing couple, Mac Brunner and Aria Donaldson to live on.
Marcy collaborated with Words Matter Publishing after initially self-publishing the first two titles in the series.Deception & Consequences and Seduction & Revenge were republished, and Marcy’s world as a writer changed for the better.
Co-Authorship
One of Marcy’s unique projects is her collaboration with her late father on the book We Call Him Coach: Four Decades of Memories with Coach Dick McDonald. This local interest story is a heartwarming tribute to her father’s illustrious coaching career. The book, which they co-authored, is currently available on Amazon.
RETIRED TEACHER
Retiring from a 36-year career in education was bittersweet for Marcy B. “I’ve been going back to school since I was five years old. I’m a little lost not following that pattern.” But Marcy admits she’s ready to dedicate all of her time to promoting The Vengeance Series and continuing to write.
MINDSET COACH & SPEAKER
Marcy is living out another dream of being a public speaker and using stories from her life as inspiration. “Growing up, my dad was a huge motivator. He taught me to go after my dreams and to have confidence even in the worst situations.” Marcy admits she needed a healthy dose of confidence to get through some pretty tough times when starting out as a writer. These days she’s telling her story to the masses as a Thrive Women’s Summit speaker in March 2025.
WRITER
Marcy has been an avid writer her entire life, but publishing a novel series is definitely her biggest undertaking. The Vengeance Series contains four titles with the last one serving as an illuminating prequel. Book I, Deception & Consequences, went #1 in its genre just fifteen days after its publication in March 2024. Followed by Seduction & Revenge in August of that same year.
The final two titles Nightmares and Premonitions and Secrets & Infidelity Revealed are scheduled for release in late 2024. “Each time I see one of my books in print, I get goosebumps,” Marcy admits. With three more novel manuscripts waiting in the wings and another just recently started, Marcy has no intentions of slowing down.
Character Inspirations
In Marcy’s debut novel, Deception and Consequences, one character stands out as based on a real person. The owner of Coach’s Hall of Fame Bar is modeled after Marcy’s late father. The name of the bar, a significant achievement for her father, pays homage to his remarkable coaching career and his induction into the Illinois Basketball Coaches’ Hall of Fame.
A Family Life
Beyond her career, Marcy’s personal life is as enchanting as her stories. Marcy and her husband Vince met at her first teaching position in Cerro Gordo, Illinois, back in 1988. Their enduring love has thrived for 34 years, and they have been blessed with two amazing daughters, Abby and Andrea. They continue to reside in the picturesque rural town of Cerro Gordo, Illinois.
Guilty Pleasures and Inspiration
On Wednesday afternoons you’ll find Marcy at her favorite pub hand-lettering the menu board, a job she’s had for several years, and then enjoying a beverage afterwards. Marcy also likes to go out to dinner on Friday evening with her husband Vince. While she occasionally enjoys a fancy atmosphere, Marcy would much rather go to a casual restaurant or bar on these date nights. All of these places she enjoys have become a huge part of her life, and it is only natural that many of them are featured in her series.

Marcy and Jenny Brandenburg, a former student and bar manager at The Depot. Jenny has helped Marcy set up numerous events.
Gary & Kim Nein, owners of Bargenta in Argenta, Illinois. Bargenta is the original Coach’s Bar in Deception & Consequences. Gary and Kim are dear friends and have supported Marcy 100%.
